A Miami neighborhood
15 blocks. One identity. Bordering the Coral Gables city line.
The 33134/33144 border lacks a clearly defined identity, often grouped under labels like "West Flagler,"
"Little Gables," or "Coral Gables" — none of which are official designations or fully capture its character.
While it technically falls within Flagami, that name is rarely used in listings. In practice, the area stands
apart: it combines the quiet, residential charm and architectural influence of Coral Gables with the density
and energy of Miami's urban core, forming a distinct enclave that feels both integrated with and separate
from its surroundings.
The best neighborhoods in Miami are the ones people know by name.
"Coral Edge" acknowledges what residents already know: this area shares the charm and proximity of Coral Gables while standing on its own and partaking in the benefits of residing within the city of Miami.
A name gives a place an identity. When a place has a recognized identity, it naturally draws interest and investment — from the people who live there and the people who want to.
North Boundary: Flagler Street
South Boundary: SW 8th Street (Calle Ocho)
East Boundary: SW 37th Avenue (Douglas Road / LeJeune Road)
West Boundary: Red Road (SW 57th Avenue)
These boundaries are clearly defined by major arterial roads, easily identifiable, logically defensible, and structurally consistent. The defined area forms a rectangular enclave spanning approximately 1.1 miles east-to-west and 0.5 miles north-to-south, yielding a total area of approximately 0.55 square miles (1.1 × 0.5 = 0.55 sq. mi.). The residential interior is surrounded by commercial corridors, creating a natural geographic containment.
So whats the Plan?
Launch coraledge.miami and establish the district's presence across search, maps, and Real Estate posting / publications. When people look up Coral Edge it shows up.
Further share the Coral Edge identity with residents and neighbors across the border zone. A name gives people something to rally around, turning a location into a destination.
Submit "Missing Place" entries on Google Maps and build custom map layers to push Coral Edge into the GPS ecosystem. When someone searches "homes near Coral Gables," Coral Edge surfaces as a distinct, recognized area.
Work with the Miami City Commission to secure official "Coral Edge" neighborhood signage. Conversations are already underway — formalizing the district opens the door to better organized community initiatives.
